Daranee Teng (she/her/hers)

Daranee (she/her) is the daughter of Thai-Chinese-Indonesian immigrants, a community organizer, and a PhD student at the University of Colorado Denver. As an emerging mixed methods researcher-practitioner, her work applies Critical Race Theory and its offshoots–particularly AsianCrit and QuantCrit–to community contexts through culturally responsive program evaluation. Daranee is a graduate assistant with the Asian American & Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) program at CU Denver and is also a member of a student organization called Doctoral Students of Color. She is currently involved in research projects focused on Southeast Asian American researcher identity development, critical quantitative methodologies, and the disaggregation of race/ethnicity data. Outside of work and school, Daranee loves cooking, learning about cultures through travel, reading, eating spicy food, playing outside, and practicing yoga.
